Residential Complex Lille Stranden, Norway

The Lille Stranden project, located at Tjuvholmen peninsula, is a systematic architecture of different materials and colours.

FRANK supplied 330 Egcobox® cantilever connectors installed in the precast concrete factory and delivered straight onto the construction site already integrated in the balcony, in order to be fixed to the building. The heat insulating cantilever connectors type Egcobox®  were designed in the precast concrete factory to match structural demands and suit the required connections.

In order to perform optimum connection, both 1.000 mm Egcobox® standard lengths and also special lengths of 750, 600, 500 and 200 mm were produced. Upon planners’ request, Egcobox® elements were not designed in the standard thickness of 80 mm made of polystyrene, but made of 60 mm thick rock wool. The insulation material rock wool also conforms to the requirement of fire protection standard R90.
